An aerial view of Prince William Sound shows the recent updates to the new cruiseship dock in Whittier, Alaska where smaller boats and a ship from the Norwegian Cruise Lines are moored. The Norwegian cruiseship travels between Vancouver, Canada and Whittier, Alaska, usually on a 7-day adventure.
Whittier, Alaska is situated at the northern end of the beautiful glacier lined Passage Canal along the coastal shores of Prince William Sound. Whittier, Alaska is a small town of approximately 180 residents but during the summer, about 200,000 cruiseship passengers stop at this port of call to explore the town.
At the dock, Whittier has a small boat harbour, a cruiseship terminal and dock, a ferry terminal for passengers traveling to Valdez, Seward and Cordova, fishing and sightseeing charters and an area where kayaks are available to rent.
