Since 2004, a new cruise ship terminal was built in Whittier, Alaska in the USA and here the Carnival Spirit cruise ship has docked allowing passengers to explore this tiny town. Three different cruise lines stop at Whittier bringing approximately 200,000 visitors here during the summer months.

The terminal is situated at the mouth of Whittier Creek where passengers can head to town by train, taxi or shuttle taking you through the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel. Everything in Whittier, Alaska is within walking distance where visitors can explore dining establishments, shops or flip through the brochures on a variety of tours offered.
