Two adult Trumpeter swans take their family for a swim around the lily pads in the Copper River Delta in the Chugach National Forest in Cordova, Alaska. Water lilies adorn the surface of the water, but the family of swans stays in their line and swims in and around the flowers.
This Trumpeter Swan family has three chicks which are starting to lose their grey coloring while learning how to swim and fend for themselves in the wilderness. They will swim close to their parents until they are more familiar with their surroundings.
