During the spring and summer months in the Russell Fiord Wilderness in Tongass National Forest in Alaska, USA, the landscape comes alive with a mixture of blossoming wildflowers some known as Paintbrush, Lupine and Fireweed. The vibrant colors create a beautiful picture when they all weave themselves together and the flowers start to bloom fringing the Russell Fiord.

The Russell Fiord Wilderness covers 348,701 acres of land between the Saint Elias Mountains and the Brabazon Range. The Russell Fiord glacier is a main feature in the area along which various other glaciers which sit above the ice carved fiords.

An incredibly scenic area where various types of vegetation grow at the higher elevations which is often visited by mountain goats, wolves, bears and various bird species.
