Between the British Columbia, Canada border and Carcross in the Yukon Territory, the South Klondike Highway or Highway 2, has some breathtaking views as it winds its way around the landscape. The British Columbia section of the South Klondike Highway is maintained by the Yukon government and from 1979 to 1986 the highway was mainly used for tourism. Many commercial trucks began to use the highway in 1986 and they still travel back and forth along this highway daily for business purposes.
