Hiking across the pass is much easier when you snowshoe and the region is amazing at sunrise when the sun sparkles off the fresh snow and the area is extremely peaceful. Leaving behind the snowshoe tracks, the trees lean from the weight of the new snow, the sun peeks over the hillside and the clear blue sky makes for a picturesque day.
