Sled Dog At Iditarod Checkpoint Alaska USA

A sled dog beds down at the Takotna checkpoint on the Iditarod Dog Sled Race which takes place in Alaska, USA.

Camp is set up for the night at the Takotna checkpoint in the 2005 Iditarod Dog Sled Race where dog mushers sleep for the night and the dog sled team catches up on some well deserved sleep. The sled dog team does not seem to care where they sleep but the mushers may be a little uncomfortable on cots but even that does not seem to affect them as they are exhausted.
