Winter in the city of Anchorage, Alaska can bring with it some severe snowstorms and this one stopped the bus which got stuck in the intersection. A man walks down the middle of the street as the snow continues to fall making it hard to get around the city.
When a severe snowstorm blows through Anchorage, reports say that nearly 2 inches of snow can fall per hour. This particular snowstorm in March, 2002, left behind a record breaking day of 22 inches. When a severe snowstorm is mixed with fog and icy conditions, travel around Anchorage comes to a standstill with vehicles crashing every 10 minutes.
Mother Nature brings in surprises all the time and maybe a severe snowstorm tells people they should slow down and enjoy life for a day or two.
