Autumn has changed the leaves on the tall forest trees into a display of yellow and greens which blanket the secluded landscape in the wilderness of Hope on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. Amongst the Autumn colors, a remote cabin sits in the middle of the wilderness of this historic Gold rush town located on the shores of Turnagain Arm.
Once a booming community, the town of Hope slowly began to dwindle after the Gold Rush, now being home to approximately 200 people. Many log cabins still exist in Hope along with a Social Hall built out of log, a one room schoolhouse and a pleasant atmosphere surrounding the community.
