Regal Mountain Glacier Landscape Alaska National Park

Global warming is effecting the landscape of Alaska with each glacier blanketing Regal Mountain in Wrangell Saint Elias National Park and Preserve slowly melting.

The glaciers which make their way down from Regal Mountain in Wrangell Saint Elias National Park and Preserve in Alaska, USA are shrinking each year. The mountain rises to a height of 13,845 feet, well above the Regal Glacier, with other peaks of the Wrangell Mountains scattered across the landscape.

Regal Mountain is an eroded statovolcano or shield volcano with glaciers blanketing its slopes. The Rohn Glacier and the Regal Glacier are two which head east and southeast eventually meeting up with the Nizina Glacier with the Root Glacier flowing south to connect with the Kennicott Glacier and another large unnamed glacier which flows northwest to meet Nabesna.
