Every year during the month of May, some of the wildflowers found on the Eklutna Flats in Alaska, USA begin to bud and show the early signs of new life. They thrive in the open forests, thickets, swamps and along riverbanks where they are tolerant of moderate shade.
The Prickly Rose is the official flower of Alberta, Canada and can be found across various landscapes from Alaska to Newfoundland. The Eklutna Flats are beautiful when the Prickly Rose bushes blossom and appear very delicate when raindrops are left to sit on their petals.
