Many commercial fishing boats, ships, tankers and other vessels have been found along the coastal shores of Alaska, USA and added to the long list of shipwrecks in the area. This shipwreck, a commercial fishing boat named "The Terminator" has grounded itself on St. Paul Island, one of four included in the Pribilof Islands, after fighting the fierce waters of the Bering Sea.
The Pribilof Islands are open to the storms which sweep across the Bering Sea and seeing a shipwreck in this area is not uncommon. All captains of the commercial fishing boats have probably run aground at least once in their career with many being the fault of human err, but others the power of nature.
After running aground, the boat should be checked for any hull damage and leaks and be safely secured if possible. The tide, wind and current conditions are other factors to take into consideration if trying to assess the situation.
This commercial fishing boat will not be considered as one of the major shipwrecks around the Alaskan waters, but will be added to the list of statistics.
Alaska. Pribilof Islands, St Paul Island. The Terminator vessel grounded.
