Just what the doctor ordered for a Polar Bear, a meal of Ringed Seal which was caught along the shores of the Hudson Bay in Churchill, Manitoba. The onset of winter has just begun around the Hudson Bay, and a Polar Bear is extremely hungry, so while he consumes his meal on a nearby frozen lake, he is always on alert for any intruders lingering about for a taste.
There are plenty of Ringed Seals in the Hudson Bay and many will be caught to satisfy the Polar Bears in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area during the winter months. The large teeth on a Polar Bear can easily shred apart a Ringed Seal where he searches for the skin, fat and internal organs. The meat is usually left for other Arctic animals, which is quickly taken care off once the Polar Bear has done his meal and moves away from the area.
