Along the beach of the Beaufort Sea off the coastline of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, a mother Polar Bear takes her family on a search for food. The two cubs, born a few months prior, follow closely behind their mother as a bird takes his chances landing on the same strip of land.
Polar Bears are usually born in pairs, often a single cub is born and sometimes three, but two is the more common number. Around three months of age, the cubs will weigh about 25 pounds and the mother is ready to take her family out to show her cubs how the outside world works.
