Pioneer Park in Fairbanks, Alaska in the USA is a theme park covering 44 acres with the main focus being on the historical years which took place in Fairbanks. A railway known as the Crooked Creek and Whiskey Island Railroad, travels on a short loop through the park where passengers can climb aboard and see the displays.

The train is a replica of one that was used in the early years for carrying supplies back and forth between the Nenana and Fairbanks. With the engineer at the helm, the railway passes by an Alaska Native village with a beautifully carved totem pole standing out front.

Inside Pioneer Park, opened from Memorial Day to Labor Day, visitors can explore the Native village. Other attractions in the park are three museums, a historic carousel, a saloon, 29 cabins from the Gold Rush Town, a hotel and the S.S. Nenana. The civic center which is home to a 384 seat theater, an art gallery and exhibition room along with the Square and Round Dance Hall are open all year round.

The small gauge Crooked Creek and Whiskey Island Railroad passes by a totem pole outside the Alaska Native Village display and is a popular attraction for young and old to ride around the grounds of Pioneer Park in Fairbanks, Alaska
