A stunning sunset paints the sky in orange hues as a Brown Pelican in flight soars below the setting sun. The silhouette of the Pelican shows off its long bill and large wing span reaching between 6 and 8.2 feet.

The Brown Pelican is the smallest species of pelican, but still recognized as a large bird weighing about 6 to 12 pounds when fully matured.
