A bull musk ox roams amongst the willows during the Autumn in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, USA as snow decides to arrive early. The flakes fall from the sky, but the musk ox is a type of animal which easily adapts to the frigid climate of Alaska.
Alaska has cold temperatures for about nine months out of the year where winds whip across the tundra, but due to their warm coats, the musk ox stays warm. This male musk ox has already started his long skirt of fur which will insulate him through the cold winter months which lie ahead.
