Upper Tipsoo Lake in Washington, USA perfectly displays the reflections of Mt. Rainer and the tall forest trees fringing the area. The peak of Mt. Rainer seems to glow in the sunset lighting as the clouds adorned in yellow hues span across the sky behind the mountain.
Tipsoo Lake is situated on the east side of Mt. Rainer in Mt. Rainer National Park near Chinook Pass at a height of 5,200 feet above sea level. About half a mile farther up, sits Upper Tipsoo Lake which gives photographers a better view of Mt. Rainer and its beauty.
Mt. Rainer is an active statovolcano and is the highest peak reaching 14,411 feet. The area is protected within the boundaries of Mt. Rainer National Park with a summit consisting of two craters. Many mountain climbers consider Mt. Rainer to be very difficult to climb and reaching the summit takes a great deal of experience as the glacier landscape becomes very challenging.
