Clouds sit atop the forest trees in the wilderness of Mt. Rainier National Park in Washington, USA as the landscape beams in brilliant colors during the fall. While hiking Mt. Mt. Rainier National Park was established in March of 1889 and covers an area of approximately 235,625 acres. The old growth forest and stunning wildflower meadows are beautiful amongst the depths of the rainforest in the summer, but fall is a season when the colors are very prominent.
Approximately 1.3 million people visit Mt. Rainier National Park in Washington, USA every year with the majority of people coming to the park from May to October. The park is the 5th oldest national park in the USA and not only are the colors stunning in the fall, but the various species of wildlife are preparing themselves for the cold winter months ahead.
