Throughout the year in Alaska, the temperature remains cold atop Mt. McKinley and while the rest of the landscape may receive rain, the possibility of the peak getting snow is very real. A certain amount of snow melts from the peak during the summer months, but as winter approaches, the snow quickly deepens atop Mt. McKinley.
