Mount Shuksan is part of the Cascade Range in Washington, USA and as the sun shines across the region, the snow covered peaks display their reflections in the stillness of Picture Lake. The trees and plant life have taken on their vibrant colors of Autumn, also reflecting in the lake, creating a picture of breathtaking scenery.
The glaciated peak of Mount Shuksan is situated to the east of Mount Baker and is considered to be one of the most photographed areas in the world. Rising to a height of 9,131 feet, the glaciers, ridges and pinnacles of Mount Shuksan create the magnificent layout of this mountain.
Autumn is one of the prettiest times of year to hike through the wilderness of Washington near Mount Shuksan and Picture Lake. Picture Lake came by its name naturally as reflections of the wilderness and Mount Shuksan are a common part of the scenery.
