During the Fall season in Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska, USA, two Moose bulls fight amongst themselves to win over the right to mate with a female. Their large antlers have reached their peak for rutting season and will eventually fall off for the winter months ahead.
If there is an over abundance of cows to bulls to mate with, rutting is not seen as much as the bulls do not have to travel far or fight as much over the females. The bulls are extremely strong during this time and if visiting Denali National Park, stay clear of any rutting moose.
