This type of lightning storm happening in Florida, USA is one which is fascinating to watch but when a fork heads through the clouds towards a dense forest, the after mass could be devastating. A dangerous place to be when fork lightning strikes is under trees as the bolt finds the quickest path to the ground which is usually directly at tall skyscrapers or a forest of isolated trees.
