Every July, the Sockeye Salmon, the world's largest run, make their way up to Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park in Alaska, USA for spawning. Here the salmon jumping to great heights try to make their way to the top of Brooks Fall, often taking a few attempts. If they are lucky enough to jump Brook Falls, they have another feat to win, missing the giant paws and jaws of Brown Bears trying to snag their next meal.
The migration of the Sockeye Salmon starts in the Pacific Ocean where they school together to start their four year journey to Bristol Bay. From here, they enter the Naknek River which leads into Lake Naknek and make their way across the lake until they reach the entrance of Brooks River.
