The roofs on many of the cabins in the Chugach National Forest in Alaska, USA are often loaded down with heavy snow during the winter. These mountains are ideal for skiing, snowshoeing, back country hiking or simply for a true winter vacation in the wilderness of Alaska.
Starting from September 1st, people can purchase pre-season tickets for skiing, but by November 1st, conditions have improved and the snow has deepened, so the regular price ski passes go into effect. The snow on the roofs of this cabin is just the beginning to the amount of snow received all winter.
