Denali National Park Wildlife Autumn Snowfall

A fresh Autumn snowfall surrounds the wildlife, a moose and her calf, atop a hill in Denali National Park in Alaska, USA.

A moose and her calf stand atop a ridge in Denali National Park in Alaska, where the landscape is still adorned in Autumn colors. The mountain slopes received their first snowfall in late Autumn which dusted the landscape and is bringing on the threat on winter.

A calf will stay with its mother until the following year when she calves again, sending her eldest off to fend for itself. During the calf's first year of life, the mother will teach her young all she knows in preparation for the following year.

Wildlife is plentiful throughout Denali National Park and as you hike through the wilderness, signs and calls of the wildlife is everywhere.
