A female and a male Dall Sheep uniting during mating season in Denali National Park in Alaska, USA. The horns on the male Dall Sheep are very large, becoming flared and curled while the females are slender which they use to rub against the male to evoke courtship.
During the mating season, male Dall Sheep become very aggressive with each other as their fight for dominance, sometimes showing their aggression by broad-side displays, vigorous kicking, horn clashing and jump-threats. Usually the larger male will win the battle leaving the other Dall Sheep to find courtship elsewhere.
