A cute Red Fox sits in the tall grass in the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge in Kodiak, Alaska staring at the photographer with its yellow, golden colored eyes. An adult fox will weigh anywhere from 6.5 pounds to 24 pounds depending on where the Red Fox resides as the species in Canada and Alaska are slightly larger than ones found elsewhere.
One can see the light shades of white on its underbelly with its legs prominently more rusty red or brown in color as it poses for the camera showing of its long, soft coat. During the autumn and winter months, the Red Fox will grow more fur as it keeps them warm in the cold months around Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. As spring arrives, the Red Fox will shed some of its fur becoming fairly short until autumn starts to creep in again.
