The Common Raven is one of the most recognized birds throughout the northern hemisphere where there are eight different types. All the subspecies have a slight variation but not enough to distinguish unless you are an avid birdwatcher.
This Common Raven was found in the Alaska region where it shows off its beautiful black plumage which is thicker around its throat. These types of bird are known as scavengers as they will eat pretty much any type of food they can find, often remains from snacks or meals left behind by humans.
Many people find the Common Raven a pest but when looking at this picture, one can see how beautiful they can be at close range.
