A wooden viewing deck built alongside the Copper River, allows visitors to enjoy the beauty of Child's Glacier near Cordova in the Chugach National Forest in Alaska. The sun shines off the slopes of the snow covered mountain peaks while Child's Glacier slopes upwards to a wall of ice which reaches 300 feet.

Along the viewing deck, there is information for visitors about the area and the history behind Child's Glacier. This glacier is one of the many sea level glaciers throughout Alaska and during May and September, it shows its true colors when pieces break free and thunder into the Copper River.
