The Chatham Strait in Southeast Alaska in the USA is an ideal location for commercial fishing boats and their crews to catch an abundance of salmon. These waters deliver plenty of salmon and many of the crew members aboard these commercial fishing vessels remain in the Chatham Strait for days at a time.
Every year, the Chatham Strait lures in hundreds of fishermen who bring in millions of dollars from the migrating salmon. The strait is a narrow passage which spans 150 miles in length and extends 3 to 10 miles in width.
As sunset settles in around the Chatham Strait, a variety of beautiful hues can fill the sky like these vibrant yellow colors filtering through the clouds on this particular day. The fishermen work hard while fishing on the Chatham Strait and the beauty of a sunset can make the day seem worth it after hours of work and very little sleep.
