From a bear overlook in Katmai National Park in Alaska, USA, a group of tourists equipped with their cameras, watch a group of Brown Bears at Brook Falls. In the wilderness of Katmai National Park, these bears stand on top of the falls and catch the salmon on route to their spawning grounds while others swim below, making their meals easier to catch.
Tourists will travel on a tour of choice with a bear viewing guide who takes you into the heart of Katmai National Park. Brook Falls is a popular area where these bears congregate and the overlook is open from late June through July and then again from late August until the middle of September when the salmon are plentiful.
The overlook at Brooks Falls is a short walk from the Katmailands Brooks Lodge where there can sometimes be as many as 50 bears along this stretch of river. This is a once in a lifetime experience in the world's highest concentration of Brown Bears and one tourists will never forget when visiting Alaska, USA.
