A proud and beautiful Trumpeter Swan swims about the Copper River Delta in Cordova, Alaska where the water is filled with green lily pads and bright yellow water lilies. The Trumpeter Swan is the largest native North American Bird and one of the prettiest with it's snow white plumage and black bill with faint markings of pink around its mouth.
A female Trumpeter Swan will be about sixty inches when fully grown and weigh approximately twenty-two pounds while the male can reach about sixty-four inches and twenty-six pounds. Both sexes of Trumpeter Swans are beautiful when they gracefully swim around the waters in the Chugach National Forest in Cordova, Alaska.
