An iceberg has come to rest on the beach at Barry Arm in the Chugach National Forest in Alaska as the calm waters of Prince William Sound and the snow covered mountain peaks in the backdrop are blanketed by a haze of fog. The fog creates a mystical appearance across the landscape while standing on the rocky shoreline.
The ragged edges of the iceberg are nearly transparent as the center is still thicker as it slowly melts away. Colder days around Barry Arm will lengthen the remaining days for the iceberg, but once the sun sparkles off the beach, the thawing process is much quicker.
