As Autumn begins to take over in the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, USA, the colors in the Chugach National Forest begin to take on new colors. Bright reds, yellow and an assortment of greens look beautiful in the forest on the sides of the trails.
Most tourists visit the Chugach National Forest during the summer season and most of the crowds have disappeared when Autumn arrives. Autumn brings out the spectacular colors and the Northern Lights begin to dance across the sky.
Autumn is very short lived in Alaska as the snow blankets the landscape around the middle of October. The mountain slopes become a mass of color and the first layer of ice begins to form across the lakes as Autumn nears its end.
