Aurora Borealis Moon Reflections Beaufort Sea Arctic Ocean

The colorful dancing lights named the Aurora borealis, the reflections from the moon and the twinkling of the stars create this magical picture over the Beaufort Sea/Arctic Ocean in Alaska, USA.

From the glow of the dancing green, purple and yellow lights known as the Aurora borealis and the reflections of the moon on the Beaufort Sea/Arctic Ocean, the icebergs scattered across the surface, come to life. In the darkness of the sky, stars twinkle amongst the Aurora borealis which also show their reflections across the surface of the water.

The Aurora borealis is a more common sight from December to March in Alaska, USA with their appearance being different every time, never disappointing those who watch them. A short show can be about 10-15 minutes while some nights, the Aurora borealis will dance for hours at at time.

When one gets a chance to view and photograph the natural phenomenon of the Aurora borealis, it is hard to compete with any other type of beauty Mother Nature allows us to see.
