The Alaganik Slough is a wilderness experience for visitors to the Chugach National Forest in Cordova, Alaska where they can explore the wetlands of the Copper River Delta along a five mile road. The road winds alongside ponds and sloughs providing the prime opportunity to see various species of wildlife which call the Alaganik Slough home.
Most of the wildlife is seen more often during the spring and fall with early morning hours or late evening being the best times. At the Alaganik Slough visitors will also find restrooms, a boardwalk and viewing and picnic areas. From Cordova, Alaska, travel along the Copper River Highway until reaching Mile 17 to reach the Alaganik Slough.
